Searching for GiftedAloud Voices!

Do you share our commitment to broadening the understanding of 'giftedness?'

GiftedAloud is searching for 'gifted' individuals, parents and guardians of 'gifted' individuals to share their unique experiences, participate in insightful surveys, take part in interviews, and give opinions to help us create a broader understanding of 'giftedness.' You can help us with one-off stories or ongoing insight (up to two hours a month). Initially focussing on those with high IQs, we are searching for those who fit a neurodiverse profile. We will also look at the broader understanding of 'giftedness' as seen in education systems and cultures across the world, and in the UK's holistic approach to a broader and more inclusive understanding, being careful not to exclude those with high IQs and often very different needs.

By contributing your unique perspective, you can provide insight to help us compile newsletters and resources that help raise understanding of 'giftedness.'

Join us on this journey and be part of a community that values and understands the true essence of 'giftedness.' Your voice matters, and by supporting GiftedAloud Voices, you will help create a world where 'gifted' individuals can thrive. Let’s make a difference and support each other in this journey!

Requirements

To participate in GiftedAloud, you must be over 18. We require proof of an IQ score of 130 or higher on one of the following valid IQ tests for adults and children, or a referral from a psychologist. We understand that not everyone who is gifted has a high IQ due to various influencing factors, so a psychologist’s referral is also acceptable. This ensures the accuracy of our research.

We are also seeking parents or guardians of children with IQs over 130.

Please fill out the form at the top of this page to get involved. Your help will make a difference. Thank you!

Here are some valid IQ tests for both adults and children:

For Adults:

  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)

  • Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales

  • Cattell Culture Fair III

  • Raven’s Progressive Matrices

For Children:

  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)

  • Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales

  • Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (KABC)

  • Cognitive Assessment System (CAS)

  • Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Cognitive Abilities
