Unlocking Potential, Igniting Change

Entering the New Era in Our Understanding of 'Gifted' Minds

Welcome to a journey into the minds of the 'gifted' - a space where minds defy norms, IQ scores become mere footnotes, and privilege takes a backseat.

In a world of imitations, 'gifted' minds are unique.

What if we told you Frank Zappa, Brian May, Johnny Cash, and Picasso have IQs that would make Einstein raise an eyebrow? That one of the highest IQs today was once a stripper who roller-skated through high school, resitting it three times just for kicks. Some research suggests up to 50% of those with ADHD are also 'gifted.' The extraordinary minds of 'gifted' are often born different, their brainwaves syncopated, elusive to conventional identification. And the most 'gifted' souls? They're the least likely to be identified in the standardised classroom, their brains growing out of sync, their innate neurodiversity propelling them to learn differently, feel deeper, imagine stronger, and think faster. Their brain's architecture defies the ordinary.

The concept of “giftedness” frequently faces misidentification, misdiagnosis, and misunderstanding. Unfortunately, innate brilliance is sometimes overlooked, or reduced to mere academic achievement.

Here we explore the multifaceted nature of “giftedness.” From educational reforms and IQ assessments to cutting-edge discoveries in neuroscience and psychology, we aim to provide a comprehensive view. We’ll navigate public opinions, delve into popular culture, the arts, literature, and academic landscapes. Additionally, we’ll gain insights from both historical and contemporary “gifted” minds, all while considering global perspectives.

Join us in exploring this new era of understanding, where we celebrate the diverse ways in which 'gifted' minds perceive and interact with the world.

Charles Bukowski – Go All The Way

If you’re going to try, go all the way.

Otherwise, don’t even start.

If you’re going to try, go all the way.

This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives, jobs and maybe even your mind.

It could mean not eating for three or four days.

It could mean freezing on a park bench.

It could mean jail.

It could mean derision, mockery, isolation.

Isolation is the gift.

All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it.

And, you’ll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds.

And it will be better than anything else you can imagine.

If you’re going to try, go all the way.

There is no other feeling like that.

You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire.

DO IT. DO IT. DO IT. All the way

You will ride life straight to perfect laughter.

It’s the only good fight there is.

For Anyone Eager to Understand these Incredible Minds

Our platform celebrates the multifaceted nature of ‘giftedness’ and its global significance. As the concept of ‘giftedness’ expands in many countries, we recognise its holistic impact on education and society. In our discussions, we acknowledge that inclusion does not imply exclusion. Specifically, when we focus on individuals with IQs above 130—a neurodiverse group with unique needs and often asynchronous development—we make it clear that this is the group under discussion. When addressing ‘giftedness’ as high ability, talent, or other interpretations of the term, we remain transparent about the variations within this group.
